Writing Content. SEO. Ranking. Bounce Rates. Exit Percentages.
Whew, what a ride it's been. The amount of information I've received from this site is oustanding. And the selfless support I get is unreal.
That being said I've certainly been busy. My niche is in the realm of toys/collectibles called Funko POP! You may have seen them. They're these adorable toys with massive bobbleheads on them.
Boom. That right up there is a POP! and almost any pop culture cartoon, movie and/or series you can think of, there's probably a figure for it. And if there isn't you can bet your ass they're eventually going to release one for it. As a fellow geek, they're all the rage at comic book conventions and it doesn't seem like they're going away anytime soon.
As far as WA is concerned everything seems to be going pretty smoothly so far. Though I must admit in the beginning I just kind of found myself winging it. But the more I pushed through the courses the less it was a guessing game. It started to involve more problem solving. Figuring out the best content to write or what appealed to my target audience, started to come slightly more natural to me. Also, me being a designer by trade I became obsessed with trying to find the "perfect" website. Which...I think I did. I'm pretty proud of the site I've managed to build thus far, even if it is on it's third iteration. But I think I finally got it right this time (fingers crossed).

Currently I'm at the very end of Course 2. And in addition to the knowledge I'm acquiring here I'm also feeding my brain outside of here as well. There are some posts here on WA about some pretty influential SEO gurus and I supplement that with what I'm learning here.
So, really, there's a lot going on! haha. But it's still fun and a still a HUGE learning experience. I frequently find myself on YouTube during my lunch breaks looking up as many SEO and marketing vids as my brain will allow to absorb. Or I'll stay up til 3 or 4am, trying to optimize my posts or tinker with my site's design.
That's my life now.
It's a crazy whirlwind of fun, patience, frustration and pride. It really is a wonderful feeling: that newfound sense of purpose. It's good. It's healthy. And I look forward to whatever the future may hold...which I hope is recognition for my talent and the biggest, fattest and heaviest sack of cash anyone has ever seen ^__^
