Going through the lessons I see that I need a paypal account.... Can someone please explain to me what it is and how it works? I am hesitant giving out my private info to someth

Paypal is how you get paid online. It's kind of like an online bank, but with much cheaper rates. Also, it seems that they're separating from eBay, as well; Paypal's good for your business and online transactions.

Other member already explained about Paypal it self, what it used for, and also the benefit when you have it. Now, you can start to create your account. Following the steps on my blog here to start with that

If you have any question related to sign up process, please welcome to leave message

PayPal has to be the leader in secure online payment. Whether you are paying for a product or getting paid for something you are selling PayPal is the leader in the industry. I won't deal with anyone who won't pay to my account at PayPal. Smart choices for your new business include signing up for a PayPal account. They just have the security and reputation to prove they mean business.

So I take it it's reliable? Thank you for commenting!

As Aurorasa says, they are legit and have been around a long time, founded in December 1998. Most online stores now have them as an option for making payment. I also use the service to transfer money to family overseas, cheaper rates than using the bank!

Thank you so much! I appreciate your comment to my question. All feedback helps.

PayPal is similar to a bank account in which most online transactions are submitted through. You can go to paypal.com for more info. I've had my account for about 10 years. You fund paypal account by transferring monies into it from your bank account. It's very convenient and safe.

Is there a fee to use it? Do I have to pay for using paypal even when I'm not making money with WA yet?

No. There is no fee. You can set up an account at no cost. Whenever you're ready to start using it, then you deposit money to it.

Thank you for clearing up the confusion!

No problem. This is what the WA community is all about. People helping People.

Paypal is a payment provider. Especially when you are hesitant to give out your personal data paypal is a great solution.
You give them your credit card/bank data and from then on can make payments via paypal without giving out your credit card number to the sites you buy stuff from.
Until recently paypal and ebay belonged to the same company group, it is a legit company.

Thank you! I wasn't sure on how it worked and wanted to get some feedback before I create an account.

It is super easy to dispute a charge, like if there are problems with whatever you bought.
It would always be my choice before using a credit card directly.
You can cancel subscriptions on paypal with one click.
Originally the ebay payment processor now accepted by many companies

So money that is made with WA is transferred to PayPal? Then from there you can transfer it to your bank account?

Yes, exactly. You can transfer it to your bank account in a few business days (depending on the country you are in) or you can have a check sent to you.
Once you have a account.....you could also use their payment buttons to collect payments - should you plan on selling a product or service.

Thank you. This really helped my understanding of what PayPal really is.

Hi David

I am not sure how WA could EVER be considered a scam.

Why?
Quite simply WA don't promise you ANYTHING in terms of income etc which is the most common way other programs draw in their "members". All WA provide is a good solid base of training and support what you decide to do with this is then up to you.

So in that respect they are no different to your local college, would you consider them a scam?

Ha ! Be careful what you say there may be someone on here from your college too ; )

Members here also provide a lot of training and support too in which case we would all be implicated in any scam.

WA do offer income opportunities in the form of their own affiliate program but as the vast majority of members here have been introduced by fellow members that in itself proves it is also a valid income opportunity and not a scam.

I have been an affiliate marketer for a number of years, way before I joined WA. OK, to be honest, different people and trainers have different ways of doing things but I can honestly say after having reviewed the WA provided training I have not come across a single one I would actually consider wrong or even bad.

I appreciate success and failure mean different things to different people. If people consider they have "failed" after what they learnt here in WA then it is NOT because of WA.

I appreciate David that you are not actually calling WA a scam and that you are just protecting yourself and your own interests which is TOTALLY understandable and wise.

However, the reason most people fail in this business is because
1. They do not have good or follow good training/ advice
2. They don't actually take any action (Big failure rate on this)
3. They don't have patience.

It takes time to build a solid base for any sustainable business and you just can't replace any existing job income on day 2 of you websites creation.

If you are prepared to do the work David I can assure you Carson & Kyle together with the community will offer you all the support we can. ( No, we will not do the work for you. That would be taking support too far ; )

I look forward to seeing you around in the community.

Take care buddy

Dave

p.s I say the above but I do not actually promote WA, or ANY OTHER Money making type program. I, therefore, have no reason not to purely state the facts.

Well said Dave!

Hi, I'm the world's biggest skeptic when it comes to anything online especially sites who "educate" you to become a successful online entrepreneur.

I stumbled on WA by accident and decided to give WA the good old GrampaMike smell test. If there was a catch then I was determined to find it. Well, I'm happy to say WA is legitimate. Sure there is a premium membership subscription but after that I found no up-sell to buy other features or services.

I have been a webmaster since 2004. My sites are hosted outside of WA. There has been no sales pitch for me to switch hosting to WA. You have an opportunity to author a WordPress site through WA but there is no sales pitch to do so that I have encountered. Your premium membership subscription includes 50 websites you can make at no extra cost. 25 sub-domains under SiteRubix and 25 sites using your own top level domain name which you would have to buy from a registrar like GoDaddy which has nothing to do with Wealthy Affiliate.

Like I said, I have been online for a lot of years and a ton of trial and error. Mostly error. What took me a couple of years to accomplish creating an online business you can accomplish in a couple of months with the education here. WA wasn't around when I first started but boy howdy the progress I could have made and the time I would have saved with this educational resource.

It's ok to be skeptical because WA proves itself. If this place can win me over then you have nothing to worry about.

THIS IS A PAID ENDORSEMENT BROUGHT TO YOU BY WEALTHY AFFILIATE - no I'm just kidding around. I'm not really paid by anyone to tell you this. I'm just giving you the benefit of my experience here.

Take care.

Thank you so much. Hearing all the great feedback makes me feel at ease which makes me want to further my experience here.

I felt the same when I started with WA in March. I have a website now. They teach you step by step instructions on how to do it. Funny thing happened the other day. I met someone that lived in a city that I came from, probably we know the same people. She has been here much longer than myself and loves it here . Give it a try its free to start.

How it be a scam? we deal with major companies like Amazon and Google to name but a few. Name me a scam that offers you unlimited websites?

It happens online all the time. People fall for scams and end up losing their money. The credibility this site has makes it believable that this is the real deal but I wasn't a hundred percent sold.

If I may, Kyle clarified to me that the amount of sites we can build on WA is limited to 50 free sites as part of our premium membership. 25 SiteRubix sites and 25 sites with your own domain.

My apologies for contradicting you.

Well, I can't see me ever needing more than 50 sites, or anyone else for that matter. Yes, it needed clarifying.

Geez, I operate 3 sites with a 4th coming and I have all I can handle. Who in the world would want to maintain 50 sites?

I'd probably drop dead after the 49th site, lol.

The way to use the other sites is to offer web services to people that want a site but don't have the time to do all the training. You can charge big money for web design ;)

That's a great idea. I'd still drop dead from too much work. I am a senior citizen ya know.

I can appreciate your concern here, that is one of the reasons why Kyle & Carson give the options of joining WA with a free membership to see how affiliate marketing works.

This is definitely not a scam.

You are going to learn how to setup a website, create valuable content for your site, drive traffic to your site. Are you going to get rich overnight ..... NO! Is it going to take dedication, learning and patience .... YES.

Wealthy Affiliate give you the real training to become involved in online affiliate marketing - But your success is up to you.

A coach teach you the fundamentals of the game, but it's up to YOU, the player to execute that teaching and training.

My friend, Wealthy Affiliate is a real community of people helping people.

Thank you for the clarification on if it's a scam. I'm believing this could end well for me... With my dedication of course.

Thanks again for commenting and clarifying my question.

Anytime. We're all here to help each other succeed.

Just follow the training and set your mind for success and in time you will be very glad you did. Guaranteed!

Thank you so much. I will keep progressing and hopefully end up making some money.

If you develop a website that has useful content to the readers, the money will follow. The training here at WA focus training on developing a site with useful and valuable content.
