Is this worth it?

It has been close to a month and I have to say that I am not as far along as I would like to be.

I just did not realize starting out how much there was to learn and how in depth these courses are.

I began with the certification course and that went smoothly, but came to a halt when I decided to go with Affiliate Boot camp. I got through course 1 and then I froze. The reason? How can I due WA justice when what I don't know far out weighs what I do know?

So I headed off on my own to WordPress to get to know the site builder, assuming that if I had that down, the courses would be much easier to follow and therefore I would at least have a sense that I somewhat knew what I was doing. For that week, I was in a state of total confusion and frustration.

To understand how my brain works, there are a few things you need to know.

Several years back, I suffered a head injury from a fall off a 2nd floor balcony. Since then, I confuse easily and get frustrated easily as well because I can't always remember things I have just done and I can not always rely on things that I know I should know but just can't recall.

With that, taking in so much new information and struggling to keeping it all organized in my head has been a challenge that I have not always been up to.

And then it struck me as I sat gnawing on my fingernails. I am not alone here. WA has laid it all out, step by step and never once said "you have to know this now"

So back to training I went and with a new outlook and the knowledge that anything I need, the WA community was there to get me through and if it takes me 4 weeks to do what should take only two, that is OK. What this community has taught me is that the only thing that is not OK, is for me to give up.

I am happy to say that I have completed phase two of the certification training and have a fully functioning web site. My site has received some very encouraging comments and feedback and my site health is looking healthier by the day.

I am back on track and going easier on my self. As long as my movement is forward, my speed does not matter.

So thank you WA and everyone here that has welcomed, supported and shared your experiences with me. I can not do enough to pay it all back, but I am sure going to try.

So is it worth it? Absolutely!

Wishing you all, all the best.

What a great message.
Well done to get to where you are, thank you.

" the longest journey starts with a small step..." Good on you for pushing through your own self-doubts and just keeping going.

Step by step, little bite-sized chunks at a time and you will get there. Good luck with everything :)
