What Having A Blog Means to Me

I woke up this morning pondering over my coffee just what having a blog means to me. As I thought about this I realized that a blog is a place where should be sharing our expertise and knowledge or love of something with others. Sharing in this way draws readers who share similar views with your or who may be on the fence to come and read what you have to offer them as far as your thoughts and views.

ATTRACTION IS KEY TO BLOGGING

As they get familar with you and more comfortable, they will start interacting and asking questions. They will also assert their own opinions which is great, we are all different. This interaction leads to more ideas for you to write more articles on whatever subject you choose.

AVOID BEING SALESY

It is important NOT to make your blog a point of contact for your offers. This means avoid being salesy and never try to sell to your readers on your blog. What having a blog means to me is sharing my knowledge or interest in a subject, a stepping stone into marketing what you have to offer but never the upfront place to offer.

DO NOT MAKE YOUR BLOG AND POSES "ABOUT YOU"

Your blog is also not the place to talk all about yourself, your ailments, and your personal life. Your readers are looking to hear what you know about the subject at hand of the post and how they can use that knowledge in their own life, ending with something you can give them for free to bring you closer.

DEMONSTRATE WHAT YOU KNOW WISELY

I have had an eye-opening experience this past year, and in addition to my budgeting blog here, I am starting a new position I can do from home and still help others, which hopefully will grow and help me pay my bills and grow my budgeting site as well. That position is in copywriting. As a copywriter I can help others by writing copy that demonstrates your knowledge and expertise, while deepening my own, and help you grow your business
