I'm Back

Hi everyone, you may have noticed (or not) I have been absent for the past few Months. As you know, I reside in China and have a number of businesses I work with, and my main focus is building relationships and my business. Wealthy Affiliate has been a great source of knowledge and has enabled me to move in different directions i.e. Online, and tap into new markets.

Recently I have been working with a Chinese company who has been wanting to expand into the Australian Market. As with anything China-related, there is an enormous amount of red tape to go through. So I have been, travelling frequently between Shenyang China and Melbourne Australia, hence my absence.

Working with the Chinese has it's challenges. Obviously the cultural differences, we view a contract as the business bible in the West, but in China contracts are often meaningless. Relationships are the key, and often a middleman is required someone who knows the system but more so has contacts in Government agencies and departments. Even if you have established contacts and have been doing business with China like me, having a middleman in the know is a must. Relationships need to be constantly worked on as contacts get put aside, and most agreements end up being verbal.

Australia with it's strict import and quarantine laws has been frustrating but reasonably straightforward. Now all is sorted, trade agreements in place and I am looking forward to reaping the rewards of my investment and efforts.

Well, that is now behind me, so I have more time again to build my online business and expand my network and spend a little more time here at Wealthy Affiliate. I hope to see more of you and gain, from the knowledge and experience you all share.
