I purchaced a ,com website and changed my name totally now do I have to go in and change my about me and, privacy policy ect ? to the one just bought? what happened to the

Yes. Changes you privacy policy and follow the your new website.

As Jackie pointed out you need to change your privacy policy. What you can do is copying the existing page if you already have one and change the domain name inside the page.

The easiest way is to copy the whole page to any words editor and use the "Replace" tool. Find the existing domain on the page and replace it with the new domain.

Then post it back to your new site via site-content.

Hope that helps.

:)

Hi Toscha
You'll need to change your privacy policy etc so it gives the domain name of your new site.
If your domain name differs from that within your policies etc then it may look a bit 'spammy'.

I am wondering if I should change my website name? It would incorporate my last name in it. And wondering if it would be a bad idea just wanted to run it across someone. I alre

By changing the name of the website, you are NOT changing the URL, so there should not be a real big issue.

Locate your permalink AFTER the name change and see what it is doing and make sure you use that one for r\promoting your site!

I would not change. Too hard to change it.

That means having to change your URL. A fairly involved process!

Also I think Hair essentials is a great keyword and draws great traffic!!!!

You must consider KEWORDS as this is drawing traffic not your name (or maybe not)

put your title into the WA keyword tool and play around and you will see what I mean

My site is 'Perkune audiophile cables' and my keywords are 'audiophile cables' OK so not the greatest but I could have chosen 'audio cables' which has 1000 times more traffic but also has 4 times the competition so I went with the "low hanging fruit" ided

Hope this helps

It's kinda hard if you don't share the name! :) Are you open to sharing a little more?

Based on what you've said, I would only have my name (or a fake one) in a URL if I was going to include myself in the branding. This can be great for social media and YouTube, but not if you don't plan on personifying your brand.

OK the name is The Hair Essentials. I have my first and last name used on social media...but I came up with Doyle`s Do`s and Don`ts. I plan on selling hair product and tips about how to care for hair and stuff.
Which do u like better.

They are both good names, I would say it depends on how much you want to be included in your branding. If you want to position yourself as the 'expert' I would look to include your name. Personally, I think that is the better idea, you can get a lot of good leverage by becoming a person that people turn to, rather than just another brand. Just my 2 cents, hope that helps.
