You must also bear in mind that if you apply for amazon associates and don’t sell in the first 90 days, they suspend your account at amazon associates. You could latter ask for it to be reestablished but the suggestion has always been to have a site set up with pages and posts and some traffic and then start promoting Amazon products.
You should first have a website in place. If you don't have a website, what's the point of applying to Amazon Associates.
