A Beginner's Take on WA
Hello! My name is David and this is my first blog post within WA. I am a 'relative beginner' having just completed the second of six training modules. So here is my progress so far and some thoughts about what it takes to be successful in this business...
Fortunately I was not entirely new to using the Internet and creating content on websites, so this was not too difficult to understand and get on with. If you want to see it, here it is: http://helpforyouranxiety.com
As you will see my chosen niche is helping people who suffer from anxiety disorders - which is an extension of my work as a therapist. In the near future I would like to start reviewing and selling various products that are beneficial (and possibly a few of my own), thus creating a second income over time.
The reason I am here is because I can see this is a genuine program. Scams typically promise quick financial gain for very little work. WA, on the other hand, is about putting realistic amounts of time and effort into a high quality service (ie your website) to create a genuine and sustainable income. I've been very impressed by the quaility of the training and the way a cummunity is brought together to help one another.
This works for me because I have a genuine interest in my subject, and get a great deal of non-financial satisfaction and reward from doing it. So, although I haven't yet earned any money, I am happy to just get on with it until I do.
Having said that I am excited about earning a good second income from my website in the future. I think it takes time usually to build up, so I'm content with the thought that it may take up to a year or so to see the results I'm hoping for. But I'm pretty much fine with that.
My first goal is simply to earn enough to drop my private therapy practice to 3 days a week (I still want to work as a therapist), and take more time off for leisure and holidays. If in the longer term I earn even more, who knows how I could benefit my family and others? I can see how it might also provide a second income for retirement. Money isn't everything but it sure does widen your options!
My main encouragement to you (especially relative newbies) is make sure you choose a niche that you're genuinely excited by (even if that happens to be making money) and then stay the course. It's important to be of one mind, be focused and enjoy it. You don't want to be entertaining doubts and negatives which consume energy and lead to sabotage. Just follow the guidance contained within the program and have a lot of fun in the process.
So there you have it - one relative newbie's perspective. I sincerely wish you success with all your hopes and dreams.
All the best
David
