Riding on the Shoulders of Giants

In business it is said that if you truly want to have a company that can weather time, the economy and fads then you should "Ride on the Shoulders of Giants"!

What I take from this quote is to learn from others, do a little research about the niche or market you want to enter and find out who is doing the best. Find out who's been at it the longest and most importantly who has the best reputation and trust.

There is nothing wrong with following their path and emulating their actions and styles, it helps you to discover your own style. No be aware that I never said copy their stuff, that's by far the worst move someone can do.

In the stock market they have lists of who is buying what stocks, well there are also lists and sites that let you know who is the cream of the crop. It;s good practice to research these individuals and companies and learn what they are doing right to create success.

Learn from them like you would an award winning college professor, it really will help.

Once you reach their level of success remember to pay it forward, help those who are in the same shoe's you are in right now. Another favorite saying of mine

"Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime"

So that's my opinion, follow in the footsteps of those that have already accomplished what you are trying to achieve.
