Advice For jawsh or any other newbie.

There are a few things I can recommend.

1. For your first site make sure you do something you are passionate about. It will help to keep you going when you get discouraged. I start something I thought I could make money at but stop after 1 month and then started with something I love to do. I found I could push thru the difficult parts when I was impassioned by what I was doing.

2 This is work. It is not rocket science, but it is work. I find anything worthwhile requires work, but when it is done it is worth all of the effort you gave.

3.Some of this will come very easy and some of it will not. I find making a website is easy and I enjoy it alot maybe even love it. I have a very hard time writing content. You will more than likely find the same thing, but it maybe that you are good at content and have trouble with SEO. That is when you will find WA community very helpful. I have found that no matter how many times newbies ask the same question that was asked 2 to 3 hours ago, they will answer it anyway with a positive attitude. There is someone that has had your problem before. So ask for help.

4.KEEP TO YOUR TRAINING. Don't go hunting for the unicorn. I spent 2 to 3 months trying to buy and sell domain names instead of keep to my training. I did not have the resources to do that and have spent too much time looking to that loto url that was worth $20,000.00. Keeping to your training is the quickest way to earning money. If I had done that, instead of hunt unicorns, I would now have my site on the first page and would have good traffic going to my site. I have no regrets as I did learn a lot and will put to use on my next site. (Limoncello out of lemons)

Just remember, find what you are passionate about, work at it, there will be easy and difficult areas, KEEP TO YOUR TRAINING, and most of all YOU CAN DO IT. We are here to help even this old sometimes grumpy Bear Dave.
