Two Months In.

Okay, so it's been two months since I first made the jump and signed up for WA Premium, and I figured that now is as good a time as any to post some thoughts on how I'm finding it.

First of all, and I'm sure this is something that quite a lot of you can identify with, I don't think I've progressed anywhere near as much as I hoped I would have by this point.

We all have our own reasons for that, and if I had to have made a guess as to why I wouldn't have progressed before I signed up it would have been related to offline reasons, such as hanging out at the beach too much, being distracted by social media and so forth.

That hasn't been the case though.

My number one distraction has been the appearance of my websites.

Yup, I've been spending the vast majority of my time trying to alter the size of text I'm using, or the trying to remove a divider between two images on my home page, or trying to set my blog up so that only the date of the entry is showing rather than my categories & name.

Basically, I've been wasting time on silly sh*t! The kind of stuff that really shouldn't be high on my priority list.

With that said, I guess it's a positive thing that I've recognised this issue before it has been allowed to drag on any longer.

So, I've been a bit more focused this week, and I'm also taking the time to be more active on the WA site, which is something I simply hadn't been doing up to this point.

I'm going to use this blog as a way to keep myself accountable, even if no one actually reads it except me. It's the act of putting this all down on (electronic) paper and making the committment to get things done.

I currently have two sites set up, complete with their own domains and indexed with Google, so that's a start at least!

I hope to revisit this blog at least once or twice a week and update my progress, so if any of you are in the same boat as me (the boat that's not yet left the dock and is just having its engine checked before departure) then feel free to follow along and let me know how you're finding all of this in the comments below.

Are any of you guilty of procrastination? If so, what triggers it? And what are you doing to combat it? Hopefully we can all sort of hold each other accountable!

Best wishes,

David

Hi David!

GUILTY! Like you, I’m two months in. What I have found is that I haven’t been scheduling my time and that’s the #1 things I’m changing this week. I’m actually plugging in exactly what I’ll be doing at very specific times. That always helped me in my previous work life, it should certainly help me even more in this business! As a matter of fact...you just gave me an idea for my next blog topic!

Thanks and wishing you total abundance!

Lisa

Hey Lisa! Thanks for the comment!

Yeah, I was thinking that some sort of schedule may be exactly what I need to keep me focused and on-track! I may give that a go as well!

Good luck with the blog!

I'm sure you've heard the phrase, "Plan the Work, Work the Plan". I don't know about you but I lived by this in my "real" worklife. I would think about the end result I was looking for and my plan backwards from that point. I don't know why it took me reading your article for the light bulb to come on...for that, I THANK YOU! Just wrapped up my little piece....

Have a super fantastic weekend!

Lisa

Hey Lisa, glad it helped in some way!

I'm planning on making some major changes to how I work from next week! Hopefully I see some real progress!
