Home Based Business Ideas May Bring Success
There are literally thousands of great, legitimate, home based business ideas available to you. Being successful with just one will change your life forever…be it baking cookies in your kitchen and selling to your local community of a hundred or a few thousand to setting up an online affiliate marketing company that gives you access to hundreds of millions of people around the globe.
The key to being successful in any business you undertake requires a few must-do principles and attitudes that you “must” apply to your mindset and belief system in order to gain the success you desire. In this first of several to come articles, I want to focus your attention on one of the most important principles of success…Believing in yourself.
You Must First Believe That You Can
One of the greatest causes of failure for people in business, or in many areas of their lives, is the mindset of …I’m such a loser. They have failed at many things in their lives and over time have accepted for themselves the defeatist attitude…consistently expecting and accepting failure as being just the way it is for them. They believe that no matter what they attempt, they will come up short, fail, and bring disappointment and/or hurt to themselves and to others.
If you’re looking at home based business ideas , be it to supplement your family’s income, make a few extra dollars for your next vacation, or reach the million dollar club and all the luxuries it affords, you must first believe that you can.
One of the greatest motivational speakers and authors of all time…Napoleon Hill…may have said it best when he wrote, “What ever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” Mr. Hill was born in poverty in West Virginia but never accepted that position as his place in life or the limit of his abilities. His belief in himself and his abilities would ultimately change, not only his life, but have a profound, positive impact on millions of people he would never meet.
Another great American, Henry Ford, also made the quote, “If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right.” His belief in himself and in his abilities built one of the greatest companies the world has ever known…I won’t mention the billions of dollars that has passed through Ford as a direct result of Mr. Ford’s belief in himself…well, I suppose I have mentioned the billions after all.
Vincent Van Gogh once said, “If you hear a voice within you say…you cannot paint…then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced“. (Van Gogh sure found one of the greatest home based business ideas of all time.)
You must take action to silence the negative voice…be it someone else or be it yourself. Know that you have what it takes to do whatever in life you choose to do.
So, before you dive into the sea of home based business ideas , I would suggest that you get a copy of Napoleon Hill’s book “Think and Grow Rich”. Read and glean every tidbit of knowledge and motivation you find throughout the book. Apply to yourself the wisdom that has literally changed millions of peoples defeatist attitudes of themselves and their lives to “I believe I can“… Many have and you can to if you believe you can.

you're welcome and it's something I live by. Many people have told me throughout my life that something that I was doing couldn't be done..I've proved them wrong and continue to prove them wrong. Their negativity actually motivates me...
My High School Maths Teacher, who happened to be the School Principle, always used to say to us "What the human mind can Conceive and Believe, it can Acheive" maybe he had read Napoleon Hill! Haven't always had that attitude, but I do believe that we are all capable of a lot more than we give ourselves credit for. Great Post ! Thanks for the Inspiration! :-)
Thanks Fisheagle. I sincerely feel that most of us are capable of greater accomplishments than we give ourselves credit for. We often fail, simply because we tell ourselves that we "can't do" a thing. And if we believe that, then we simply push the vision aside and move on to the next. Thanks again :)
