Week 3: Building My Brand

This week while walking down the path towards my goals, I may have wandered off a little bit or, perhaps, started running a bit early to catch up with those ahead of me.
After the first couple of weeks, I’ve been seeing pages and posts begin to rise in Google. There still not high enough to get any significant traffic (just a few clicks) but they are gradually rising. As I began to working the first lesson of the Mastering Social Engagement course, a timely (or untimely) event occurred: Jay presented a training session on branding (https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/branding).
Well, I may not be great at it but I’m not new to the concept of branding so it struck me to start thinking about the brand that I wanted to present. As I don’t have much traffic yet, I assumed it would be to my benefit to start building that brand now. So, although I’ve not spent as much time developing content this week as I had last week, I now have the 4 pillars of my brand:
- Name – Kids World Soccer (http://kidsworldsoccer.com)
- Logo – See below (based on some good advice from Jay in the video)
- Identity – Enriching Lives through Youth Soccer
- Colors – You can see my primary colors in the logo
Well, hopefully this hasn’t led me too far off course. But, as I reign myself back onto the straight-forward path, I expect over the next week (week #4) I will once again be focused on creating good content and will be stepping up my social media presence to help promote my new, and existing, content.
Day 15 (dedicated about 8 hours)
- Provided comments on several websites
- Added Google+ connections

- Wrote 3 new pages for website

Day 18 (dedicated about 5 hours)
- Added Google+ connections

- Wrote a new post for website
- Provided comments on websites
Day 19 (dedicated about 4 hours)
- Added Google+ connections
- +1’ed Google friends’ articles
- Created Facebook account
- Created Twitter account
- Created Pinterest account
- Completed Mastering Social Engagement, Lesson 1
- Provided comments on websites
Day 20 (dedicated about 7 hours)
- Added Google+ connections
- Added Twitter follows
- +1’ed & Liked friends’ articles
- Replied to website comments
- Installed Social Sharing plugin and analytics
- Established social connections
- Created logo for website
- Provided comments on websites
Day 21 (dedicated about 5 hours)
- Added Google+ connections
- +1’ed & Liked friends’ articles
- Added branding images/colors to website and social profiles
- Established social connections
- Provided comments on websites
