It's our weeks anniversary here in the Netherlands as we have been on the road for a week. All the shops are closed apart from groceries, chemists and a few other necessary outlets.
Just up the road and behind the flat us a large hospital. The ambulances remind us on a fine average that life and death goes on. We feel humbled that we gave been able to celebrate the festive season.
We have not ventured onto a tram yet just to reduce the outside chance of catching COVID, which is a shame. We also have refrained from using the river boats too although cycling. Later tonight I have been invited out to run 10km, which is a lovely thought, wish me luck.
