Lately I've been focusing on deep breathing and the effect it has on our body. One of the main benefits is that it puts us into parasympathetic mode, which tells our body that it's safe, it can rest and it's time for our body to heal itself.

Am I present, enjoying the moment and actually making the most of it, or getting distracted with other things that aren't nearly as important as that. very. moment.

It’s one thing to be fully present when you're on an adventure or holiday (those times you look back at and remember the joy so vividly), but what about the rest of the time?

Every moment of life is a gift you can never get back.

If you’re in a toxic environment with friends, family, work, hobbies, your living situation, then yes, keeping positive does help, but removing yourself from that environment may actually give you a life hat you want to be mindful in.

“To be awake is to not be on autopilot anymore.”
