Perhaps you can try unpublishing your post/pages? Change it to under 'draft', then remove it from google search console?

Hi Winnie. I must be sure what to do. I want to save for later some of my pages and posts before I delete it, and eventually, use it in the creation of a new site.

you could export pages and posts - to be imported into another site.
you will find this under the tools=> export menu
if you click on post you can select a category.
on the pages if you add an auther and assign the pages you want exported then you can select by author.
don't forget to grab your media, unfortunately you cannot just select a few .
there maybe a plugin to export the whole post or page with the media ready for importing.
after the cleanup create a new sitemap and submit to google.
i think there is a way to tell google in search console that some pages have gone.
good luck Darko.
phil

Ty Phil. Looks to me very complicated and also I have no other site. Maybe exist some other way?

hey...you are a premium member so setup a siterubix one for the moment and drop them in there.
take it one step at a time, it won't take that long.

You save a copy of your site with a plugin called Updraft.

https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/

Once you have a copy saved you can download it to your Desktop.

You should create a TEST Site with one of your free Site Rubix and then upload that copy to it.

Remember not to Publish it.

Hope this helps.
Robert

Ty Robert. Just to clarify. I am using Updraft and when I download my site to the desktop I will save all my pages, posts, media and whatever belongs to the site??

Does that mean that I can with no problem delete posts and pages from my actual site?

From files which I downloaded to the desktop, I can make a new site? Sorry but I don't know how to make a new site from files on my desktop.

You can create a new SiteRubix just like you did before.
Then you download the Updraft Plugin to it.
Then you upload the saved copy of your site.
It will be exactly the same as your old site with all the content, images, links etc etc.

Then you can delete that old site completely.

You can also delete any pages and posts on your new site before you publish anything.

OR

You can delete the pages and posts on the site you have now.
But you must delete the post and pages URLs in your Google Console so that they are no longer visible on the internet.

Ty Robert. I'll try that before deleting anything.

Hi Robert.

"Once you have a copy saved you can download it to your Desktop"

Where to find a saved copy?

If you download it to your Desktop then it should be there unles you have chosen another destination.

This will probably be my last attempt to do something in WA. I've created my web site that has been active for 9 months, and so far I have not earned one cent. And that was my

I felt your love for Croatia. I actually have a friend that used to live there. She is an amazing person. The pictures and all were beautiful and inviting and you are knowledgeable.
I just feel maybe it is your niche. as its looks others have suggested as well. If you want to keep this one I might change up the site a little and make it a little more inviting. the Right side widgets I felt could be divided up a little more and look a little more presentable. Some bold types in there for Categories, Archives and such. I think you are on the right path and just need to keep working with it and maybe work on a new niche as well.

Don't give up we are all here to help you and keep your encouraged.
Amy

Ty Amy for your support. I'll try to do something with my widgets

-My Advice to You my Friend, Is to find a new fun Niche,
And Try and try AGAIN!!!!....Look around You, there is
a universe of friends and training here,
Failure IS an important part of learning and attaining
SUCCESS!!!!

Ty Paul. Maybe is starting over the best solution or maybe it is the only solution.

Regret that I must agree with the others on this, but I can see the potential, why not really major on Croatia for example, have a feeling that it could work.
Stuart

Ty.

You have a website about travel and also a review abut WA and blogging

You are promoting 2 completely different niches on one site and there for Google is confused as to what your site is about

The adverts are for make money online, there is no one who will visit a travel site that would be interested in blogging on WA or any other make money online products

Your content needs to be relevant to your audience

Google wants the websites that people find for certain keywords to be relevant to those keywords

Relevancy is the biggest part of marketing

If you were looking for a website that writes about visiting Disney land would you be interested in adverts about blogging

One niche one website this is what an authority website is about

Barry

Ty Barry, I think I understand what you mean.

Honestly, I have come to the point with SEO where I believe it is all luck. The first thing to insure is your site projecting trust. If your intent is to help visitors find a place to stay in Croatia, single that subject out. 1. The Ads under your header confuses the mission statement. Put them at the bottom. 2. Write a introduction instead, to introduce yourself and your rental.

Did you compare your website's message to a few sites that come before you in the SEO?

Do not give up. Keep searching for good changes for the website. No matter how much work or expense if you have a place available for rent you need to have a website for it. It is part of a professional business. All your info about the area, and the tips on traveling the area are good. SEO may be getting mixed messages because of the travel info and the rental business info. I am not sure how to appoach that, though. Keep asking the community. Try narrowing a new plan down. Maybe breaking up the two subjects would help because then traffic can be referred back and forth which builds links. rentinginvelastiniva or rentingincroatia may be a good start for a spinoff.

Ty Sherry. On what adds do you mean when you say Ads under your header? I think I wrote two introductions: one about the bay and another about our house. Do you suggest creating a new site?

I'm with others on this, I think you are mixing two seperate things and causing confusion, not just for the reader, but you as well

I say this as I did the same, but then seperated my sites out

I have a WA referral site, a WP learning site and my own Freelance Marketing site, all of which are linked to each other

In your shoes, I would write down which subjects you like most, then refine it to the one you are most attracted to and go from there

If its croatia, then thats what it is

In either case I would also revisit the training, making the SEO a big player in this, as I and many others do and start a fresh

You'll be amazed at the results you get

Good luck

Thank you, Dave. I agree with everything you wrote, but please explain about SEO. What you mean that I am doing wrong or what I should try with SEO.

With SEO have a revisit of Jay's training/s they will help you to beef up your SEO.

Not saying anything is wrong with yours but it might help to get direction

I was the same as you with 3 sites doing OK but now I have 3 sites doing great

Hi Darko

I was slightly confused when I went to your site. Is it a WA referral site or a site promoting Croatia?

I liked the look of the site, fresh and lots of content but its all jumbled up. Either its for promoting WA or for promoting Croatia and your apartment, with other stuff typical of Croatia - so turn it into an affiliate website.

I honestly dont think you can have a referral website and a website about Croatia and expect it to be fruitful. Its tough to decide which to do but think along those lines and read what others are saying, you have a skill for writing, definitely and your site is really good visually, but maybe your focus needs concentrating towards the areas that will make you an income.

Hi, Helen thank you very much. My main intention was to promote my house and my country but it seems that I didn't make it.

Its a good idea, but for you to make money you need to be promoting something that has an affiliate programme. So say Airbnb has ( I dont know because Ive not looked), you promote a particular airbnb property in your country, and a customer reads, clicks your links to airbnb and books to stay, you get commission for that lead. So as you love your country, maybe thats your niche? you look for affiliate programmes in Croatia, that have properties or experiences that holidaymakers love, you write about them, promote them with lots of links for them to click through to book, you get commission.

Or

you promote wealthy affiliate to other people in Croatia if you have a particular type of audience in Croatia that you think would be interested in joining. If they follow your link, you get commission.

I think you could be helped by really working out who your audience is - your avatar... I know that Jay did a webinar on how to pinpoint your audience. - June 10th 2017 -I used it myself and it was very helpful in working out exactly the people that I want to get onto my site. It might help you focus better if you have a particular audience in mind.

You can do this, find which appeals the most and go for it... !

Being brutally honest, in my opinion your content does not flow too well. You must put yourself into the shoes of your visitors, picture what they're searching for - how they would land up on your page, and they how they would feel as they read it.

For example one post you have titled "How to Rent an Apartment Online"... Immediately upon landing on it you then mention you will be talking about Airbnb only. What if I don't want Airbnb? I will leave...

But let's say I am okay with Airbnb so I decide to stick around... The next paragraphs start talking about your own business & your own villa... It confused me - I came there looking to find out "How to Rent an Apartment Online" and so as a result, I will leave.

Hopefully you take that as constructive criticism, because that it was I intend it to be - I don't wish for it to be insulting... But I think you can quite easily turn things around by simply putting yourself into the shoes of your visitors and bettering the flow of your content to give them what they are looking for :)

Hi Dale. I want brutally honest opinions and thank you very much. I hope I'll get more such opinions.

I'm replying here because I believe my thoughts after checking out your site are similar to what Dale mentioned above. I think you are presenting the information as if the people coming to your page are already sold on traveling to Croatia and are just looking for instructions. It will be more engaging for your visitors if your content communicates a passion and deep interest in what the country has to offer. The same type of content, just presented a little differently. If that makes sense. However as others have mentioned there is potential here! I would really study my audience and make sure I am connecting with their needs, even though they are bouncing you have some numbers to work with. Best of luck with it! I find whenever I push through, at the moment everything inside is telling that I am justified to give up, that's when the breakthrough comes.

Ty Jesse

Here's my thoughts verbatim as I went on your site, I hope you find them helpful:

Within a second of landing on your site I see "Discount prices! Special sale 20% off!" with no idea what you're selling or even what your site is about. It instantly gets my back up. Lead with helpful information, build a connection and trust, not sales.

Also, the WA banner seems a bit random. Same with the Amazon thing.

I love the images and descriptions of the places, if I'm thinking about booking a holiday this is the kind of thing I'm looking to see.

Maybe incorporate your call to actions within your text itself, instead of using big, bold text and banners etc. For example: I love this place so much I've actually bought a property there. Since we're there only part of the year we rent out it. It's a beautiful place with 3 beds and a view to die for. You can check availability here.

Also, I didn't realise the huge Air BnB image was a clickable link.

Your website template is good and the content is okay, just not much of YOU in it. I'd be more personable, share more of your stories and memories etc.

That's my cents' worth anyway :)

Ty Simon very much. I'll wait to get more advice and then try to change something.

Darko - you should also post this on the can also visit the Give and Take Feedback thread for more exposure:

I know Laurie and thank you. But I do not want superficial answers but honestly based answers that can help me. Not answers because of answers.

I hear you.

Sorry. Did I say something wrong?

You can also customize your links in the $ sign above and that is called the custom sign up page where you can add in your profile and a small write up about you Including your Website URL.

if you don't want to use a plugin then labman has training on how to add stars as images - he even gives you the images to use. have fun

Ty Phil

Because I want to present a rating of a campsite, so first cam has 3.5 stars, second has 2 stars and so on

why do you want to insert a star?

Then why could you not say that?
You really should be specific when asking questions to help the membership understand exactly what it is you want to know.

There is a plugin you can use
