I have recently dipped my big hairy toe into the world of youtube to grow my brand and also incorparate the channel with my site.
All of the videos I have published have done ok and have around an average of 50 views per clip...which is ok in my humble opinion for a new channel.
Then my latest video did even better and had over 100 views in 24 hours and did well the following day, then after that nothing!
from over 200 views in two days to literally nothing the following day. This perplexed me no end and had me in a slight panic as I couldnt understand why it had happened?
Looking further into the matter apperently You tube freeze views to validate authentisity of the views when they reach a certain number.
As I mentioned, my other videos have not got as many views and maybe they needed to check this wasnt all fake views or something? Im now getting literally a view here and there, but hopefully you tube will catch up and validate the views in question.

one tip to those on you tube...
dont keep watching your own videos, this WILL freeze your views and also invalidate your watch hours, meaning you wont reach desired number for monetisation.
Only watch your videos in the you tube studio app or page, as even accidentally playing your own videos will have you come over all cold (frozen).
The other thing you can do/try to rectify this is to put the video on private and then switch back to public, this didnt work for me but worth a try I suppose.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know of a little success but then a bit of pain, which is all part of the process.
