Tough, But Rewarding!

So, I joined Wealthy Afilliate not long ago, with the intent of finding a way to continue with my career in the beauty industry without actually having to work WITH clients as I had before. I decided to stay home with my kids after giving birth to my second child. I had been caring for my mother who was diagnosed with ALS in the summer of 2014, and it was very stressful, and very much a full time endeavor, until she passed away in 2016. I decided that I was going to back off of working so much at the salon and be more available to my family.

That ended up being a great decision, however, no tells you that when you leave your career of ten years where you were speaking regularly with clients and helping them to become more confident and eager to take care of themselves...you begin to lose your identity and sense of self.

I stumbled upon a blog promoting WA during a late night internet search and decided it was certainly worth a try. I signed up, and have since been on quite a roll! It has proven to be quite a bit of work, but it is extremely rewarding. I have found a way to write about skincare, beauty products, massage, and hair care, while being home with my children, and am loving it! I do a ton of research. I reinforce some things that i already know, and combine that with things that i didn't know. It's so much fun!

I love that i can take the training in strides so that i can handle everything else as well. I'm just finishing up level 2 of the training, and intend to push through this month so that i can finish and really take off with my website. I am grateful for the tools given to us, and am even more grateful to have found a successful way to stay in the business and share my knowledge on my own terms!
