Slow and Steady Success!

So, when I was self-employed in the cosmetology business two years ago, I was very successful, and had worked very hard to reach a point at which I rarely had an opening in my schedule.

It was very physically demanding, but also extremely rewarding. I was also involved in a MLM business, and was selling product right and left, because the products were directly related to my line of work.

Ever since I quit working and decided to stay at home, I had been experiencing quite a bit of anguish in regard to trying to decide what I wanted to do, and what I COULD do with my skill set, while tending to children and remodeling a house.

When I stumbled across a blog post that explained one user's experience here at Wealthy Affiliate, my impulsive nature grabbed the wheel and I quickly signed up and began my journey into blogging, though I knew absolutely nothing about it. It came as a relief to find out that, thanks to the nature of this program and community, I didn't need to know anything about it to get started.

This was only a few short months ago. Since then, I have created the beginnings of what seems to be a successful website, made quite a few sales through affiliate programs, and have had a great time exploring what could be a talent in explaining things that I am familiar with to an audience that is not. It's a lot of fun!

My husband is an I.T. officer at a bank, and he knows just about everything about computers, inside and out. This program is so helpful and so thorough, that I have actually explained a few things to him, haha!

I love the way that there is a certain level of honesty, which is seemingly rare these days, that is presented through all stages. You won't "get-rich-quick", nor is this an overnight success. But, I can tell you that in less than six months I am already seeing some very exciting things happen as a result of perseverance and hard work!

I'm so glad that I started this journey, and I am over the moon about the fact that I can write about things that I love, and make an income while doing so!!
