Keywords, How Much Should You Care

Is it all about keywords to get your pages into the Google ranks?

No, far from actually.

What was, and has always been, is content.

Content is king; content needs an audience. With that being said, your keyword or keywords should only be a guide as to what your topic is.

Once you've established what to write, your keyword won't get you into the ranks of greatness unless you add one ingredient, 'Strong Content.'

Google is not keen on all the keyword stuff; it's not what it used to be. The emphasis now is content that explains your keyword.

As an example, Banana Bread.

Banana Bread is your keyword; now your job is to fabricate the best text you could in describing 'Banana Bread.'

After the introduction of the keyword, there is no need to use it again, or better yet if you do it won't make a difference in the ranking of your page. If of course, your content is great. If not, then keyword saturation is not going to save you.

In essence, Google is looking for relevant content that can explain your keyword. And that's all there is to it.

Your pages get into the index, but that don't really matter. Not even the length of your post matters. Just be good in explaining your keyword, and you are going to leave Brand Names in the dust.

That's my 0.02% out of $1.- for today.

Happy weekend everyone.

Cheers,

Yes, absolutely. There is more to focus on than simpy keywords. User experience should be fairly high on the list.
