Well. I just did something CRAZY

The past couple of weeks, I have read a lot of blog posts about common mistakes, SEO questions, and the frustration that so many people develop when trying to figure out how to succeed with affiliate marketing.

All of this information caused me to do something ABSOLUTELY NUTS just before I wrote this post. What I did seems crazy, but I feel it was the right move to make.

I just deleted every single product from my store, and removed every single affiliate link from my site.

I'm not missing any opportunities if I have no traffic right?

I decided that this "race to make money as quickly as possible" mentality I've had since August just isn't going to work, and my 0% organic traffic proves my point.

I'm going to really focus on adding more content, and getting organic traffic is my #1 priority now.

With a fresh new look on things, I have set some new goals for my site. I'm already targeting good keywords, and I have utilized Jay's 10 SEO tips for most of my pages and posts.

My new goals are:

  • Get all of my existing pages up to 1,000 words each
  • Come up with some more ideas and publish 1 new post every week
  • Achieve an Alexa rank of under 3,000,000
  • Only build up my store again once I have organic visitors (perhaps I will pay for WooZone)

I feel that this small step back will become a huge leap forward!

How does everyone feel about my actions?

Is this the best way to try and fix a website filled with rookie mistakes?

Feel free to share your own thoughts on how you would go about trying to fix a struggling website. I would love to get this post bursting with comments that may help others in need!

I think you are headed in the right direction. I find Kyle's training and Jay's Top Ten, is the best guide to building a successful online business.

Personally, though, I would not worry about the Alexa ranking.Kyle blogged about this and we really do not need to focus on it.

All the best

Thanks for your thoughts! I didn't know Kyle had a blog about alexa. Good to know.
