Why Am I Here?

Good question, eh?

It's because of the choices and decisions I made throughout life, the people I have met, the books I've read, and the simple things they said that stuck in my head and bought me here.

They have all had an influence on my life and none of them will never know it. I would like to introduce you to some of my 'friends' and the snippets they have shared.

It started when I read Think and Grow Rich. Very quickly, I learned the book was called Think and Grow Rich, not Work and Grow Rich.

Then like an exploding light bulb Napoleon Hill said . . 'Smart people surround themselves with people who are smarter than themselves'.

That single thought rolled around in my brain for years and I searched everywhere looking for a smart accountant, a smart lawyer, a smart doctor until I realized these people don't need to live locally.

They don't need to live in the same country - in fact, they don't even need to be alive. After all, Henry Ford reinforced what Napoleon Hill said and good ol' Henry died 10 years before I was born.

When Henry was standing trial he was asked some inoncuous question about the constitution, to which he apparently replied 'Young man, on my desk I have a row of buttons. When I need to know something I don't know I press a button and somebody comes to answer my question'.

I attended a seminar in my hometown of Brisbane, Australia and Robert Kiyosaki stood on the stage holding a copy of Rich Dad Poor Dad. He pointed at the cover and said 'It says best seller, it doesn't say best written.

At another seminar the keynote speaker taught me about passive income and cemented in my mind that having a job (just over broke) is a very poor financial decision. Those two words lead me to build a bricks and mortar mortgage brokerage which I operated for more than six years.

So to answer the question - "Why am I here?" - It's because my friends told me to come here.

Hi Dan!

Think and Grow Rich is also my favorite book to recommend to people starting out in business. I have used it for years. It helps people create a new paradigm which allows success habits to develop.

Every person's story can beautifully illustrate how ideas and wisdom, once internalized, can shape their life decisions and career paths.
Thank you.
