My very first Blog. Infancy, Day 1

AWWWWWW (Scream) .... Whew (Deep Breath) ..... Ready??? Do you remember your first blog or the feelings you are having now as you are thinking of your first blog? Do you remember being a kid? Do you realize that the two can, and do, go hand in hand? Well, I' m pretty sure they do and I'm here to offer my reasoning as to why and also to offer a subtle reminder of the kid in all of us. I mean, after all.... Aren't we all still just kids? Big kids? Adult kids? Of course we are. Think about it for a second.

As children we all went about the business of playing and having fun. Once we grow up (also known as becoming an adult) we simply change the format a little bit. Look all around you and you can see the evidence of that al oat everywhere you look. Grown-ups still playing, or wanting to play. You see sport leagues for adults, you see casinos,online gaming, fantasy sports, etc. And let's not forget the toys we adults want to obtain for our individual entertainment and pleasure, like sports cars, boats, jet ski's, and even planes in some instances. We are all just living out the the very "kid" that is our existence. Now, somewhere along the way we got sidetracked in the adult world due to our need to be responsible and provide for ourselves and/or our families, and we lost track of that " kid" and became submerged in the day to day grind. Well, at least I know I did.

We will probably end up being a kid again in our older years as our faculties (both physical and mental) decline and somebody else will be required to take care of us, just like they did when we were a child. Why do we have to wait to be a kid? Did somebody legislate that in our middle adult years that we could no longer be a kid? No. That hasn't happened and so I am going to fight to stay a kid. At heart anyway, because here's the thing...... If you take the time to actually observe children at play you will witness their lack of fear, their ability to face the unknown with both eagerness and passion. How many times have you seen a child fall off a bike or suffer some other kind of injury from their boldness and solemnly swear to "never try that again!!" ? If you ever have, I'm sure it's pretty rare. Children have this uncanny ability to jump right back on that bike, or horse, or friends back, and try again. Or, have you ever had a conversation with a sibling ( I probably shouldn't admit it, in case my mom ever reads this, but I have) where before trying something one of you comments " I dunno, Mom/Dad is gonna be so mad"..... But then went ahead and did it anyway? See, kids have the ability, and the desire, to live life, to abandon fear in the pursuit of pleasure and successful living. And, even tho' we are adults, we are basically still a kid. We just may have lost that ability to move forward head on. To achieve whatever it is we wanted at the time. I CAN, YOU CAN, WE CAN, choose to bring back the kid in us. Get back our ability to dream. Return to our childlike abilities to press forward no matter what. Don't let the grip of fear rule us. For me, that has happened for too long.

I am an infant. This is my first day. I move forward and when I fall, I will get back up and try again. I cannot do it alone though. I will need help. I will require guidance. Will you help me? Will you join me on this journey? Please say yes. And if you get nothing else out of this, please take away that you can do it too. You can become that kid again. Willing and wanting to explore. To harness the desire inside to learn and grow. And remember what everyone tells you here. Have FUN !!! Yes, you want to work hard and build your business. But what good is it if you can't have fun along the way. Let's work hard. Let's build. Let's have fun !!! Come join me, won't you? Awesome!! I knew you would. After all, you're just like me !!
