More Than You Can Chew
It's been a few days since I chatted with anybody here, but I haven't gone anywhere :-)
Some of you might be thinking. Where did Damien go?
Wasn't he working on a project, and then going to tell us all about it?
Biting Off More Than You Can Chew
Well yes, I've been pretty busy that last few days. While I haven't presented myself here, it's been in the back of my head thinking of everyone here.
Being so busy, I had to chop down on other activities and use more time for learning and testing what I learned.
So much work piled up, I really thought that I bite off more than I could chew!
Luckily I have a big chew to go with my bite.
What Have I Been Up To?
Last I spoke of was talking about sub-domains and the benefits of using them. Currently I'm working on my first sub-domain.
Setting up a sub-domain is just like creating a new website.
Having its own:
- Login Page
- Username and Password
- Theme and layout
- Posts, Pages, Categories
- Comments
As you see, it takes more than a click of a button to setup a complete looking sub-domain.
What Is My Goal?
After setting up all of my pages and begin writing posts for my sub-domain, I intend to remove the majority of affiliate links from my main website. (This alone will take some time)
Once complete, I will be looking more into further expanding sub-domain usage. For now, I'll be working all out until I can provide some valuable insight for you.
Until then; be patient, and let me put together something presentable
Anything I Should Find Out?
If any questions have come to your attention, let me know.
Whether I have an answer or not; your questions may provide valuable concerns that I should consider looking into.
Thanks WA's for everything, and thanks Kyle and Carson for pointing me in this direction. Loving the skill development and my success at Wealthy Affiliate!

Good work Damien. My big question is why would I need a sub-domain? You may have already answered that, but my memory is about as long as my...let's just say it isn't very long. At least until I get something pounded into my brain a few times.
Two reasons to have a sub-domain:
For affiliate links, while the main site mostly content (For better rankings). You can have a sub domain "blog.yoursite. com" which all of your affiliate posts are done.
Another purpose would be to branch off from your website. "racing.sportsm. com" could be a branch of from a Sports magazine focused on baseball/basketball/volleyball.
Having the "Racing" sub domain would allow them to build around Racing without interfering with what they have already.
OK. That makes sense, Thanks for the explanation.
