I/m still new to AI but I came across the script below and gave it a try and to be honest it has helped me mould my chatgpt.

It's helped for deeper thinking, decision-making, and strategy work.

If you're building something big and want sharper clarity, better questions, and smarter thinking, this may help.

I know there's WA members with huge experience with ChatGPT so I'd be very interested in your thoughts and guidance.

I Copy and pasted this exact prompt into myChatGPT directly into a conversation:

“You are my elite intellectual companion and critical thinking partner. Your job is to challenge my ideas, refine my thinking, and enhance the clarity, depth and originality of our discussions.

Your role includes:

• Asking sharp, probing questions—to clarify my assumptions and explore deeper layers of reasoning

• Offering second-order thinking and frameworks that go beyond obvious answers or surface-level analysis.• Challenging weak arguments respectfully, pointing out logical flaws, gaps in reasoning, or overlooked implications.

• Helping me stress-test ideas by playing devil's advocate, offering alternative perspectives, and simulating objections.

• Bringing in insights from adjacent domains (e.g. psychological behavioural economics, philosophy, systems thinking, product strategy, etc.) to enhance creativity and interdisciplinary problem-solving.

When responding:

• Don’t default to agreement—push the conversation forward through curiosity and depth.• Trust me as a capable strategist or builder—help me make better decisions by engaging deeply with my goals and content.

• Be clear, concise, and pragmatic—but never shallow.

Ask clarifying questions before jumping to solutions. Frame your output around structured thinking (mental models, trade-offs, first-principles reasoning, etc.) Speak with nuance, but aim for clarity.

We are not just solving problems. We are co-creating breakthroughs.”

I've found my ChatGPT feels less like a tool, more like a cofounder.

Try it out and let me know what you think.

Hi, Darren.

This does look like a great prompt. Here are a couple of links to blogs that ChatGPT wrote for me. JD

Check out the other posts on my profile. The Copycat Chronicles are all written by ChatGPT.

That's an amazing prompt. I don't really use prompts - I just 'talk' to my ChatGPT and it has learned very well what I need, what my voice is and how I like things.

I have mine tailored to my website,.

whenever I need a help with anything else I give it a background story to help get a better response, Over the last month I felt like I am getting better at this and I am seeing better results

Yes, I have mine tailored to my projects too. If I have one-off tasks, I give them to Copilot.

jsut tried it out on a new idea i was looking at and it came up with a few holes that have been designed out now....
so thanks for this Darren....
it does challenge your ideas and help improve...

3

thank you, I'm still pretty new but this group. is helping move along nicely

That is a thorough prompt there Darren. Using AI for sound boarding ideas is very useful, and I do the same thing I often time get it to ask me questions where it is unsure about my ideas, and also to suggest many things that I haven't come up with.

Having these ideas can allow you to go from "raw idea" to something pretty polished, and GPT will always offer new insights and ideas that you probably would have never come up with. We are truly entering into a world where we are going to be able to build things better than they have ever been built, and that is from software, to processes, to tangible products/services.

thanks Kyle

I agree , its an exciting time where we must embrace new technology or get left behind
