THAY DON'T HAVE TO MAKE IT IF THERE EXISTING SITE WITH THERE PRIMIER MEMBERSHIP WAS DELIVERED AS A SUCCSESS FULL MONEY MAKING SITE THATS PERFECT ... THAY HAVE TO FIGER IT OUT LIKE WITH A "FREE MEMBERSHIP"

Dale,

Great info as always about not wasting your time on Themes. There are more important things to focus your attention on. Like mastering all of the training, creating quality content, and dare I say researching what others are doing in your niche.

Unfortunately, human nature being what it is, I put a quick hit list together to eliminate what I did in spending days on themes. The bottom line, keep it simple and move on. There are many more important things to deal with than a theme.

MrDon

Thanks for the comment! And that's a great list.

My advice, however, for those with the budget, would be to upgrade to GeneratePress Premium.

I agree. GeneratePress is boring! But GP Premium is EPIC.

Among the many features, you get access to their site library: https://generatepress.com/site-library/

All of those designs can be activated/deactivated & even toggled between with just 1 click, without affecting your content.

One day I may pay for a theme, but until I reach your status, my freebies will have to do.

Thanks again Dale.

Bottom line - don't waste your time on themes. Get your content ranking and then decide on a new do...

Don

Hi Dale. Both my sites are using GeneratePress. I think they look good but a recent site audit told me they both looked unprofessional. They’re a little colorful but they still load fast.

No comment on my comment? Lol

Give me a chance my friend. If you look at my last comment times below, you'll see that I was offline & that I have just begun making my way through the comments again. I'm not at WA 24 hours per day 😂

Funnily enough, the comment I just posted below applies to your comment as well, so I'll paste it here:

Sorry for being so crass, I've been spending so much time lately trying to update my sites. I reached a burnout phase one night and had to step back a little.

After the audits, I'm now realizing how much the website, as a whole, impacts rankings with search engines. I thought it was all about seo optimized pages.

The audits pointed out that both site’s web designs look unprofessional and lack credibility and trustworthiness.

So much conflicting info out there. Makes my head spin.

Thank you my friend, I will look into GP Premium.

Steve

Nice buddy!Be sure not to make these mistakes as well my friend!!!

🤣👍🤣👍

I will try 😂

👍🤣

Thank for your insightful tips, Dale.

It took 3 long years to gain the confidence to change to GeneratePress. This decision has helped my website speed performance tremendously.

No one sticks around for a slow and unreadable website. That's why I am focusing on content that makes sense.

Hopefully, my traffic should improve, too!

All the best,
Maxine

Glad you made the change Maxine, and most importantly, that you are seeing the benefits :)

It's a work in progress like a slow trickle:) Sometimes, I wonder about Google Adense splashing ads on my health site, though.

HoweverI need to place 1 ad(affiliate program) above the footer menu using classic editor. Please offer advice.

Maxine :)

Good tip. I don’t use any colours in the text or headlines. I just find a nice colourful photo which brightens up the text.

That's the way to do it! 🙏

Some sage advice here from an industry vet.

I see all the same things of course with people getting rolling, fixated to the bitter end on a simple PageSpeed insights error (which has no bearing on their business)...thus detracting time and energy that could be spent on productivity side tasks. That is just one of many examples. :)

Thanks for sharing Dale!

Absolutely! Cheers Kyle 🙏

Hey, Dale, thanks for the short video. I removed GeneratePress because I was struggling with resizing my site logo at first. But I agree with you about the issue with too many colors.

I use my branding colors and make sure there's enough contrast to avoid issues.

John

Thanks for the comment. One of the main reasons I recommend GeneratePress is because they have the most active & helpful support forum out of any theme. So, for example, they would immediately help you with resizing your logo.

Sure, I discovered how easy it is afterwards.
