Mic sounds great, and I love the hat. I found that having a laptop in the living room sitting in my recliner was not a good spot. Not only did it kill my back, but I had all kinds of distractions around me. So, a couple of years after my mom passed away ( recently), I sold her bed, got a sit-and-stand desk, and set up a little office space in her room. It's at the beginning stages but is coming along --- you are spot on about little frictions :-)

Thanks Kerri! Glad you like the hat. And yep, they really can play a big role in whether or not we actually stay consistent. 🙏

Hahah. Yeah I've actually had backdrops in & out of my Amazon cart the past few days. It would have been nice if I could just control the blur. Zoom does a great blur but ScreenPal hasn't quite mastered it yet.

Sound is awesome, background is awesome. Lighting is perfect. Hat is awesome. Wow! Love it!
Great combination. Hipe!

Tell us how you did that BG, and what your mike and cam is? ☺️

My trick to end friction? Never postpone what you can fix in 2 minutes. Reduce distractions, focus on what matters... and using the right tools... ( a bike 😉)

My friction? Manual stuff that can be automated and isn't...

Ps
Having the mike out of sight is very pro...

Perfect! Thanks Fleeky.

The BG is done using ScreenPal (formerly Screencast-O-Matic).

The gear:

* Logitech Streamcam
* NJSJ Microphone
* TONOR Microphone Boom Arm
* ULANZI LS08 Overhead Camera Mount
* ULANZI VL49 Led Video Light

I should probably disable the light on the microphone next time; hopefully it's possible 😂

Keep it on, perfect...😀✨

Thanks for sharing!

Hi Dale!

I like the blurry background around you, it takes away distractions. The hat is cool, and the sound is fine (I love the accent - I'm from the US, so you know what I mean).

Thanks Howard! Glad the sound worked nicely. On playback, I am actually pretty impressed with the mic.

Hi Dale
Good luck with the videos!
Among my qualifications, I am a sound engineer, so perhaps a little more fussy about sound than most.
The mic is fine except that it's creating some sibilance (emphasising sssss in particular). To improve that, you could consider adding a shield between your mouth and the mic. That could be in indoor shield, or a wind sock (actually you could experiment by placing an ordinary sock over the mic). Also, since you've greyed out the background I can't see the distance to the back wall or any furnishing. If the distance to the back is say less than 3 metres then it might help to add a soft screen which will minimise unwanted reflections off the background and may help improve the sound.
;-)

Hi Richard; thanks for the comment. I actually have a shield over the mic, so maybe it was a little too close. I did think about a screen (in fact, I had one in my Amazon cart). It may be my next purchase!

You're right Dale, perhaps it's a little too close to the mic.
;-)
