Audio a book? Not bad.
A few days ago, I received an offer that I could help a small company to audio kids book (English to Chinese). I am excited that I may have try something new.
They gave me 24 hours to record a demo. Yesterday I sent my demo to them. This is the first time I tried this. Yes, I searched 1-2 hours to complete the task. I know it is not professional, but the recording is not too bad.
My friends, anybody has any idea of audio books? i.e equipment, skills, editting, etc..
Welcome to share this with me.
Thank you.

I bought some equipment a few months ago and I have it set up in my sewing room since I share my regular office with my husband. But I haven't tried it out yet. One of these days I will. My purpose is to create my own audiobooks from my memoirs. I do have experience reading aloud to children from when I was a librarian.
I have an audio technica AT2020 usb microphone and the quality of that mic is awesome for the price. I got the recommendation from a professional online marketer several years ago and he told me he has a lot more expensive mics than that, yet the audio technica A2020 is up there with the best in his opinion in terms of sound quality.
This was several years ago though, but I am still using this same audio technica AT2020 usb mic and sounds great. They still sell them. They are not that cheap but for what you get for the price I think it is very good value for money.
You are welcome. I have also sent you a private message. I may have a suggestion on software too that may or may not be of help to you depending on your approach.

I was using 'Audacity' for recording, as it's free, then I came across 'Voice Recorder' which is an app from 'HIghStarApps', also free as a browser extension. It was actually a surprisingly good recording and I didn't need to 'clean' it up.
The mic was cheap and cheerful, thinking that I could upgrade if I ever needed to. It was a BM-800 made by Zingyou.
Thank you my friend. I would like to review and do some action.
Very welcome and well done for getting the opportunity, it's pretty awesome.
