I Can't Unsee That!!

If you're in any ways familiar with the darker sides of the Internet, "I can't unsee that" is a phrase you'll be saying, and hearing, quite often. As you may have read in my description (assuming I haven't changed it), I have tried other online "schools" for Internet Marketing and was met with failure. Admittedly, some of it was my own fault. "You'll be doing this with success" and "You'll be doing that with success" became the reading norm, and I'll get super excited about my venture...until it's time to find a niche.

The general rule of thumb was always "find a niche/keyword that has high volume with little competition and high CPC (cost per click)". There are literally tons of sites and software found on the Internet that would make this process simple. Heck, one school even came up with a way to do it manually using formulas and Excel!

Now, here at WA, I'm in Course 1, Chapter 3 and I'm being told not to worry about competition! That disturbingly raises confidence. Why? Because that's where most people get stuck. Find a good keyword/niche, but like pre-wedding jitters, you feel you still need to search for more before "settling".

I have a feeling that this will be one in many things that I'm going to have to "unsee". While the schools that I have tried will forever remain unnamed, I'm sensing with WA, that I'm in more control of my own destiny. Many reviews of WA will tell you that the cons of WA (yes, there are cons), is the overwhelming amount of data to take in. However, this is seen in ALL of these Internet Marketing schools. As my wife is a teacher, I've learned that the key is not the AMOUNT of information, but HOW that information is presented to you.

In the other schools, the training was linear. There was a path you were expected to take and take in a lot of data in very concise bunches. Picture going down the Interstate and you get hungry. Immediately, you get a taste for some hot wings. Well, right before entering a major city, you see a hundred billboards advertising hundreds of different types of food. So, now you don't know what you want to eat. Then, to make it worse, you see one or two billboards advertising heart failure and the dangers of overeating!

Information overload. I was told that this weeds out the uninitiated and undetermined.

Me, being the type who doesn't want to be defeated by Information Overload, tried to absorb all of it. By the time I made it to the "now you can create your website" phase, I was exhausted. But, from what I'm reading here, just as you start drifting, you can change direction and keep the data fresh. It's presented in a way to keep you focused - especially the checklists at the end (which allows the "Get Started Here" to proceed when you've checked them all). I normally skipped the whole social interaction bit, but now I regret it fully.

"You want hot wings? Exit here."

Now, add an Interstate exit for each billboard, and you have WA. Unfortunately, I've passed thousands of billboards.

Kyle, Carson, Bo, and many of you who have chosen to follow me, here's your challenge: Help me "unsee" all the things that apparently don't work.

The excitement builds...

You do have a way with words. Info overload ... that's familiar. You will make it big here. Good luck

Isn't it exciting how WA's lessons give you a new perspective? As you continue, you'll "unsee" more and more. Welcome to WA! Rest assured you're in the right place with a great community of helpful people who are willing to answer your questions and give you expert advice. All the best!

Welcome to WA Ricardo, There are lots of people who can help you 'unsee' things. Good luck :) Beverley

Wow, Daddyrabbit, you have some serious writing skills which got me from the first word to the last...I was tempted to take the chicken wing exit, but I stayed with you.

Yes, you are right, there's something peculiar about WA that propels you to move forward in new territories and in a great manner without compromising anything.

I was shocked too since I had watched videos of other programs but luckily I buried the credit card 99% of the time and even if they were free sometimes, I got stuck on the 'niche' section.

For me, I used the approach of applying everything I learn immediately and that took off the load of info overload, but here in WA, I do have that overload problem which I carry with pride lol

you will make it big for sure and by following and checking out the tasks, you will look back as you hold your first commission and say, how did I get here? Of course, with a smile on

Hi daddyrabbit, I like your post. It does seem like information overload to begin with, but I think you're in the right place. Hope I can help with the "unseeing" thing!
Craig
