Any other advice to avoid pitfalls and to make sure not to lose page rank?

So you're looking at about 30% loss if I remember right...

The video relates specifically to the comparison between 301 redirects vs links within a particular web page. However, it doesn't appear to relate to moving an entire website to a new domain name via 301 redirects. Has anybody had any personal experiences with moving a website from one domain name to another via 301 redirects?
