I uploaded a new website http://mycollegegig.siterubix.com/wp-admin and I would like to edit it in the Domain Name section. What is the process please.
You cannot update a domain name once you have created it. You will have to create a new domain if you want to change the domain URL. DO NOT change the domain URL within your wordpress settings as this will break your website.
Yes, unfortunately you cannot change the name. Hopefully you can make the domain name you chose work for you! Good luck!
I don't think you can edit a domain name. The only other option is to delete the site and start a new one. The good thing is that you don't have to pay for it since it's a siterubrix site. Blessings...
Thanks. I figured that was the option...I was looking for another alternative to deleting.
Wordpress has tools that will save you from recreating your content. Under the Wordpress dashboard item "Tools", you'll find entries to export and import content.
You can export all of the current content on your existing site and save it to your computer. You'd than delete the old site and create a new one. Finally, you'd import your saved content to the new site from your saved file.
Good tip. Also, after all the dust is settled, you should back up your site onto dropbox for free. Set it to automatically back up your content. Here's a good turtorial for that
