Domain Superpowers! Create a Redirect URL for an Affiliate URL on WA Domains

It's Easy to Redirect an Affiliate URL on Domains Hosted at WA!

Now I have Domain Superpowers! My fear of subdomain tech is cured!

If you have an ugly long affiliate URL, it is easy to create a subdomain on your Wealthy Affiliate hosted website and redirect it so when people click on it, they go to your ugly long affiliate URL.

The Steps are Simple:

1. Click on Websites in the Navigation on the left.
2. Click on Site Domains.
3. You'll see the domains you have registered at WA. Under that list, click on Add Subdomain.
4. Enter the name you want in Enter Subdomain Name and with the dropdown arrows, select which website you want that subdomain on and click Create.
   >If you are using it for advertising or posting on social media, keep it short. It can be as short as one letter, i.e. "c".
   
   
5. Now enter your affilaate URL in the Redirect Traffic to URL box and click Save Settings.
   
   
6. Voila! As with most things domain related, it may take 24-48 hours for this new URL to be active on the web. Once it populates, clicking on subdomain.mywebsite.com will go to your affiliate URL!
   

Now you, too, have Domain Superpowers!

And you may also have Tracking Superpowers! If you have Google Analytics (or another tracking service) on your website, you can check your analytics to see how many clicks your new subdomain has received.

Besides redirecting an affiliate URL via a subdomain, you can also use a subdomain to point to a landing page on the same domain; use for a landing page service like Leadpages or Clickfunnels (follow their directions;) or for a new installation of Wordpress (usually a new website hosted on its own domain is the best option).
