Little things mean a lot

So day seven is done. My first week of WA is over and today I think, was my best day. I spent the afternoon rewriting my first page of content for my site (tattisfaction.com) and I'm much happier with it than the original. Thanks to a few words of friendly advice from other members, I managed to relax and just write, of course I should have been working but...well, everyone swings the lead from time to time.

I also made my first real contribution to my fellow WA man, yes I've liked things and offered words of encouragement, but to me that's...I dunno...not really helping. I'm not belittling words of encouragement, they're important, I'm not dissing constructive feed back, that's important, too but I'm the kind of person who doesn't feel like I've helped unless I physically help. To me it's the difference between seeing somebody fall down and picking them up and seeing them fall down and asking them if they're ok after they get up.

Anyhoo....the point I'm making is that small things, that little bit of extra effort to help somebody makes you feel good and while it may just mean you walk a little taller for a day or two to the person you helped it can make a real difference to how things pan out for them.

Yesterday it was me that needed the help, today it was somebody else that I managed to help. There's a good vibe on here, it's a shame there's not more of it out there in the big wide world. If I gain nothing more from joining WA I'll have gained the knowledge that there are still good, kind people out there.

Gandhi said, "Be the change you want to see in the world" and that's what I'm trying to be, in all aspects of my life. It's already started on WA...take it to the world, ladies and gentlemen. Take it to the world.

Keep up the leadership, be the change you want to make, as Gandhi says!

Just had a WA free weekend with my kids. Back to it when I get home from work tonight.

Good post here guy, right on with your points, you always succeed when you don't quit and yes it is a shame the world doesn't have enough good people.
