Finished Course 1 and I'm not quitting.

I am very proud of myself today. I went through Course 1 despite sometimes feeling like I'm out of my depth, what the heck am I doing doing this etc. but a couple of deep breaths helped that feeling subside. I also went through Course 1 step-by-step, A followed by B and then B followed by C and so on, completely as instructed. This is actually counter-intuitive for me and I guess many others, as I would normally jump around like a grasshopper, make wild assumptions, try to find short cuts and just do whatever it takes to get to the end post as quickly as possible. This hasn't proved the most effective approach in the world for me in the past but impatience is a very loud and bossy bully. Anyway I ignored it and slowly and methodically worked my way through Course 1, with a little diversion along the way to read a book on making a profit in the digital publishing world. I'll see whether the learning from this also helps to evolve my website as I move through the rest of the WA training, which I've really enjoyed so far.

For the last 18 months, my lovely, and very own website has been sitting in my mind in the form of a watch-watching idea, patiently waiting for me to be ready to break it loose. It's now born and live, albeit a primordial soup right now. I'm very happy with the way I'm writing on it - I know it's so important to just Be Yourself and I feel I've accurately represented my personality on my About Me page and this will set a great tone for the website. A break for the rest of the day (I'm learning French and have class to go to soon!) but back to it tomorrow - lots more work to do of course. I'm not worried though. My big personal learning so far is to keep with the mindset of no pressure, do a little bit every day, don't jump fences (which only serves to overwhelm and intimidate me anyway) and follow instructions step by step, no grasshopping!
