My Hats off to Nurses Everywhere

Today as I was reading I noticed that today we celebrate On May 12th, 1880, the world got its newest nurse. Her name was Florence Nightingale, and by the time she was done she had changed the world of medicine forever so I want to give thanks to all Nurses all around the world.

Wood graving of English nurse Florence Nightingale in the barrack hospital at Scutari during the Crimean War.

I also have a sister-n-law that is a nurse and has been for many years. As I am giving thanks to all nurses and doctors I remember my sister-n-law (Wanda) that was in a bad car accident last year and her career as a nurse has been taken away from her at this time. She is pretty lucky to be alive, but it is surgery after surgery and to think the one that served others is being served by great doctors and nurses today.

Nurses and nursing assistants are awesome.

Nurses are very special people!

Nurses are beautiful beings sent from heaven. My mother in law was a surgery nurse and I could never have asked for a better mother.Yes, she was my second mother.

True! Cheers to nurses everywhere! My mother is a nurse and I have deep respect for the profession.

I trained as a psychiatric nurse and loved the job unfortunately due to ill health I had to leave a profession that I not only loved but was proud to be part of

I happen to be married to a former NATIONAL PROFESSIONAL WOMAN OF THE YEAR. She was a nurse then. Now she is a Healthcare Administrator... but she still loves the patient care part

Yes, nurses work more as doctors. They have constantly contact with people. Doctors do not have so much time thanks to big bureaucracy and paperwork.
