I don't know why I have this on my mind today, but wanted to share;

Remembering back years ago, I recall one of my teachers in high school told me I could not do Algebra II, not smart enough even though I made E's(today I think it is A's) in Algebra I, How are we to believe in ourselves when your peer talks this way to you as a child, college student, or just an employee. We all want to believe we can do anything we put our minds to, set that goal in front of you, always remember that you can do whatever you set your mind to. Who would have thought that I became a programmer analyst and I feel like I am a good one after a teacher tells me "NO, not smart enough". Lets think positive and send these positive thoughts to our children, grandchildren,friends, neighbors and everyone we meet. Let them know we all can be whatever we want to be...takes hard work and time and being in the right place at the right time.

Looking for positive quotes I ran across these that I thought was great to share for this blog:

“How people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours.” – Wayne Dyer

“I am thankful for all of those who said NO to me. Its because of them I’m doing it myself.” – Albert Einstein

“Work hard for what you want because it wont come to you without a fight. You have to be strong and courageous and know that you can do anything you put your mind to. If somebody puts you down or criticizes you, just keep on believing in yourself and turn it into something positive.” – Leah LaBelle

“Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.” – Winston Churchill

Thank you for the inspiration!

Have a wonderful day. Thanks for the follow. I'm sorry if I'm just now replying to you.

When I was in Grade 2 I did what I though at the time was my BEST work. All I got was a star stamp, while others got a Principal's Award stamp. A big deal for one so young. I don't think I'll ever forget that.
Another time when I was a year or two younger still, I sat my doll on the ink well of my desk and told my friend that she (the doll) was doing wee wees. My punishment from the teacher was that I had my mouth washed out with soapy water. I've never forgotten about that either.
What happens throughout our lives, especially when we're young makes a huge impression and ultimately shapes our lives into what we are today - meak and mild, or strong and aggressive/assertive.

My Physics teacher told me I had a Vacuum between my ears.

I once had the privilege to attend a course in positive thinking and goal setting. The main thing I learned there was to always keep this in mind : "If you can SEE it in your mind, you CAN achieve it"
Theuns.

Thanks for this mate, much appreciated
