Christain this is theme dependent but some themes allow you to fill out your wp profile and use it to generate an author. This might help if not holler back with you theme name and I would be happy to check it out for you Change Admin to Your Own Name
Hi Tim. I am using the Clean Simple White Theme by Mazznoer.
I edited the appearance manually to say Posted by Chris on the appearance editor apposed to Posted in Uncategorized.
Google is not recognizing me as the author. When I go to Search Appearance-Structured Data on my GWT console it reads errors 7 in total in which they all consist of missing author, missing entry title, and missing updated.

Christian the first thing you might want to consider is changing themes. This theme hasn't had an update in almost 2 years. WP has gone thru many updates since then. I will load the theme and see what I can find
We will probably have to do a little code work to get around your errors Christian. What is your URL please.
