Top 200 at wealthy affiliate

I am very happy today that I have reached the TOP 200 at WA.

It was a pleasant surprise to be greeted with a CONGRATULATIONS message this morning, and that is just the kind of thing you need to get the day started right.

In the big picture, at level 200, the rankings are no major achievement. It is still a long way to the top. I don't know if I will climb much higher. I doubt it.

And I still don’t know how they work. I can see that advancement might be the combined result of positive communication on the site, coupled with a decline of the efforts of others. Rankings are based on communication, not learning.

My Certification has slowed on level 4. My knowledge of social media, and my ability to get to grips with it, has been a problem, still not yet resolved.

I am a content writer, a communicator, a student of life, a thinker and a doer.

I am not a socials media fan. All the platforms irritate me in one way and another.

In my previous work as a printer, marketing was done through business cards, leaflets, the telephone and yellow pages. The multi-tentacled monster of social media is for me an alien concept, and a tough opponent. I am just not wired up that way.

So being in the TOP 200 does not make me a better person, or get me any more money today.

What it does do is remind me of the great time I have had here at WA over the last 3 months and 3 weeks.

Yes, it’s four months next week. My learning has been an excellent experience. I have a website with 100% gradings on all fronts except trust, which is 30% because of the limited time it has been live. I have a plan for 2017 which is taking shape. I have met some great people from all over the world and enjoyed the conversations.

So time for a reflective day off today, and then back to work tomorrow with a new spring in the step.
