Doomsday 2012: What Happened?

Meteor's raining down in a blazing fire.

Birds and animals scattering through the trees looking for a safe haven to hide from the raging storms.

People clinging to their loved ones, savoring their last moments on this life on earth.

Earth's core temperature rising at an alarming rate till the earth's crust breaks, lava spews and then...BOOM!

...The end of the world...

Well...sadly nothing happened. It's been two hours since midnight of the so called "doomsday" and i'm still here, sitting on my work desk with no armored suit to protect me but my superman pajama bottoms and eating leftovers from dinner instead of canned foods from a shelter house in my backyard. All my hopes and dreams of a catastrophic phenomenon occurring today at midnight were unfortunately shattered to bits, smashed, thrown in the fireplace and never seen again.

Now don't get me wrong. I'm a man of logic and I prefer to have cold hard facts that provide good explanations of natural events instead of superstitions. But the inner curious side of me has an appetite of believing in things that are not comprehensible to the human mind.

To all who were expecting a day off tomorrow, my sincere condolences. It is alright to shed a few tears for our hopes but it is time to move on. Life will still go on.

So to end my rant of misery, I would like to say congratulations to you all. You have survived the "doomsday" of 2012 and I hope that you will all enjoy your Christmas holidays.
