Niche decisioning
I just replied to a question from a starter member about her niche and thought I would share that as blog. She was trying to differentiate herself in a cosmetic niche. My suggestion and this is the thing, is it something you want to do, it could be a great suggestion but if you don't see your self in that role as the expert it won't make you happy and you should probably pass on the idea.
My suggestion as a long tail niche is Cosmetics for men. Now I haven't checked this in the keyword tool but it might make sense. It sounds crazy to me but my married older male coworkers are wearing makeup. Cosmetics whoa what a competitive area how many youtube videos alone are their for cosmetics. But how many are for application on men. The needs are different. Men from what I have seen are trying to turn grey to another color whether its hair color, eye lash color or eye brow color its not to look like you are made up its to look natural and younger its a vanity play. So for instance they don't need extending mascara just waterproof so that it doesn't get all over there eye lids. So here is the other aspect of it these are the older gentleman turning grey sure you could link on cosmetic and send them to the cosmetic affiliates but what about all the other products for that group hearing aids etc. build traffic of the male baby boomer and off you go fashion follows they are buying youthful brightly colored skinny jeans as well.
The Boomers are a powerful group I was amazed at how many older men are doing things like this today. They have the buying power and don't want to be old or at least look that way.

Yes, I do apply night creme and eye cream occasionally. Actually, my wife applies them on me as she applies them on her.
I see many brands already provide men's skin treatments. It can be a niche.
