Things, Needs & Wants

Good evening everyone.

While working on my site the other night I find myself being distracted by THINGS! There is always a shiny little object that will catch your eye. There are days that I feel like a cat chasing a laser pointer. I am just all over the place. My example is all about looking at the different plugins and seeing what they do, how they look, and what they may do for me.

What I have been finding out since working on my sites is that building a website is very much like our everyday lives. We all have THINGS that we WANT, but when we get right down to it we should be looking at what we NEED. I know exactly what I NEED to be doing. My NEEDS and all beginners should be the basics. There is no need to go out and trying to be fancy and pick out all the shiny objects. We need to follow the training, build our foundation and grow our knowledge. Once we have figured out what our NEEDS are and satisfied the basics, then we can start looking at THINGS and going after WANTS.

I am learning a little more everyday and doing what is needed to develop my skills. I want to send out a sincere THANKS to everyone here in this community. I can honestly say that everyone are a pleasure to deal with and all will bend over backwards to help.
