Why You Should Approach WA Training Like The Tortoise And The Hair
Whether your new to Wealthy Affiliate or you've been here quite a while -- you’ve probably noticed that there's a ton of training within this program.
And you’re probably still learning new things all the time, especially with the live webinars jay conducts each week.
Now over the past few years of being a member here, I’ve seen quite a few people that either have bragged about how fast they went through the training — or I’ve seen people ask questions that are clearly answered within the main training course.
I mean I get it, when I first started I was excited and eager to learn how to generate an income online — and couldn’t wait to learn how to do this.
However much like the tortoise and the hair story, you truly will succeed in this business when you take your time to comprehend everything Kyle is teaching you (and I don’t mean just reading it), but doing every single task that is required of you, and asking questions along the way when your confused about something
Now personally it took me about 5 months to get through the certificate training when I started out. Now some of you may go faster than this, and some might take longer -- and that’s completely fine.
However what I want to stress is that learning the material here WA is not a race your trying to compete against other people in. You’re trying to learn how to properly build an online business -- which means you should be reading over each training carefully to make sure you understand it fully.
Even if this means going through the entire course a second time to grasp certain aspects you didn’t quite understand the first time around.
Trust me you’ll be glad later on when you did. :)
Remember this is a business your trying to build, and if you don’t know the proper way to do things -- you could end up wasting a lot of time without even knowing it.
So to all the new members out there and even some of the older ones -- if you’re still going through the training or maybe you’ve already gone through it once, how fast is it taking you to complete the training?
Was it a few weeks, a few months, or maybe close to half a year like me?
Hopefully whichever one it is, you took your time and now understand how to build an online business the right way. :)

I am retired, so I had plenty of time to devote to the certification training. I got so caught up in it, I worked on it 10-12 hours a day.
I finished the certification training in about 4 months. I am in Boot Camp now and my pace has slowed way down.
You need to take time for soak time. I go back a review past training frequently.
This is not a race. Slow down and take full advantage of the opportunity in front of us.

LOL, great post and so true. I am (on the inside) in a huge hurry and want to learn it all, do it all now and start income ASAP.... but realistically, have had to take it slow because I am not super computer literate - my job is nowhere near a computer anything other than the occasional search online for something (super basic, computers for dummies stuff) - so even though I want income NOW, I am forced to be the tortoise... kinda glad for that though.

Ya just remember there's no pot of gold waiting for you once you finish the training. It's up to all of us to go out there and work hard for the money, by doing what is taught here at WA.

Hi Michael,great article.This gives me some sort of reassurance because I started with Wa in nov 17 and am almost completed the certification training due to full time work,and other commitments as well as dragging my feet at times.My immediate goal at this stage is to just get through this cert training first :)

Like I mentioned, don't worry about how fast you do this training just as long as you're trying to move forward with it a little bit each week.
Then before you know it you'll have completed the entire thing, and be able to look back on all the accomplishments you made and new things you've learned. :)
