Facebook Can Make Mistakes Too

The other day I was logging into my Facebook account to share one of my post, when I suddenly came upon an expected warning from Facebook.

They were notifying me that my page had been unpublished by them for not following one or more of their terms.

Of course I was totally confused as I could not think of anything I did that would have violated their rules and regulations.

So I appealed their decision, hoping they could tell me what I did wrong. And to be honest I wasn't expecting anything to really happen, but I figured it was worth a shot.

Well surprisingly a few days later they sent me a message saying that they had made a mistake, and were sorry for any inconvenience that they may have caused me.

So in short....

Facebook and all the other major social networks aren't perfect.

If you follow the training here at WA, and don't try to cheat or play the system -- you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Also I hope this will help you all know what to do if for some reason you get this message from Facebook in the future. :)

Thanks for the heads-up!

no problem. :)

Thanks for the heads up, I always worry about this because there is so much social media now and so many rules. I sgruggle to keep up. Good to know thefe is a process to follow.
A wise photography professor told me nlf too long ago "when in doubt, do it and ask forgiveness later". Wonder if this applies here.LOL

Lol well why I wouldn't really just do whatever and ask for forgiveness later -- just have a quick glance at their terms and regulations to see what they require.

Again from what I've seen is if you do what WA teaches here (which is to not spam social sites with just pure affiliate links) but rather try to get engagement -- you'll be ok.

Thank you, Michael for sharing this interesting event, it is comforting to know one could appeal such a decision. All the best going forward.

Yep it's good to see that their appeal feature actually works. :)

In my experience, I have found FaceBook make many errors, always back your stuff up!

good advice. Also it goes to show you don't rely on one source of traffic (like Facebook) -- but diversify with other platforms too.
