One of the best things about affiliate marketing is when your business starts to get rolling, you can get money automatically coming into your bank account while doing other activities such as sleeping, eating, or just hanging out with your friends and family.
However sometimes this is not the case, as I recently found out the hard way.
If you promote more than one affiliate program (which I’m sure all of you probably do) — then about once a month check in on them and see if your making any money.

I made the mistake of not checking a certain affiliate program I'm a part of for about 4 months, and came to find out I had accumulated about $90.00 dollars in that time!
Now the reason I didn't get paid automatically is they said their system had some kind of bug, and they were sending my check to the email address I used to sign up to their program -- instead of the email address associated with PayPal.
Needless to say once they fixed this, I got my $90.00 and was happy. :)
So the lesson of this story is to check your affiliate programs on a regular basis -- and maybe use the same email address linked to your PayPal account to make things less complicated haha.
