Are You Building A Business Online Just To Make Money? Or Are You Also Trying To Help People?

Now I know the purpose of creating a business online is to make money, but are you creating it JUST to make money -- or are you truly trying to help people?

The question came to me the other day when I was comparing two different websites. One was making at least 4 figures a month, and the other was barely making anything at all. Now this got me to thinking why is this?

They both had things like...

  • Over 100 post
  • a simple and clean theme
  • CTA's on all their pages

however I believe one of them was doing much better than the other because of one important reason...

It Was Geninly Trying To Help People

For example when they reviewed products, their post were barely even a thousand words. Also they simply said it wasn't good and that they should buy their product without any rime or reason.

Also when they wrote helpful post, they quickly described how to solve a particular problem -- instead of "showing" people in detail how to fix their problem.

As one of my favorite quotes goes, “You will get all you want in life, if you help enough other people get what they want.”

So basically everytime you write a piece of content, try to put yourself in their shoes and try to really help them -- because remember you are writing for REAL people and not the search engines.

The sooner you start doing this, the faster you'll be making money.

Gotta help people, first. That's because we're not Fuller Brush Men. Anyone remember who they were, going door-to-door, back in the day (before my time)? They'd stick their foot in the door and pressure-sale the prospect. We don't act that way anymore, and I think it's the Internet that has brought us better manners.
