Floods,Fires.

My city of about 838 people was once again flooded. The flood zone area is flood from yellow creek. This time was about the 4th time. I think like 2002, 2010, 2011, 2017. This time was worst than all the other times. Some folks told me 24 inches of water in their home. Went clear up to the second floor this time. All roads were closed into town.

People used boats to get around. They waited for water levels to go down. Visited with neighbors and friends. Watched their stuff floating around in their house. No electric or water for clean-up (funny no water) Until after water levels went down.

Clean-up is a long process. Bleach being the best to prevent mold.

Flooding is expensive. Some can afford insurance. Those who fall in need from the flood get extra help from donations.

Need to run dehumidifiers or fans. To help dry your home faster. This helps mold stay away.

Thankfully we were not in the flood zone in town. We live 6 miles about north of pearl city il. We. Did have some flooding in our basemet. Not near as much as last time. But, it still takes the same time and methods to clean up. But, the cost is low. And if smart and have nothing on the floor no damage. Very gratefull .

FIRES

Now fires in Washington state around the Collville area are really bad. I have a brother and sister living in the area. The smoke is so bad its hard to be outside. The smoke is thick. They can see the fires in a distance. They are on high alert.

Most fires are started by human behavior. Smoking,campfires. Plus fires called ground fires are usually started by lightening.

Surface fires burns along the floors of a forest moving slowiy .
