Reflecting On The Past

For me, it has been over 3 years being apart of this incredible community... Recently, I've been doing a lot of reflecting.

I worked hard on my first website to bring it to a state where I've had the opportunity of doing affiliate marketing full-time. While I was in college from 8am-3pm then work from 4pm-10pm+ I took most of the downtime to work, work, work.

Fast forward to today and I can say that I'm doing a fraction of the amount of content creation that I did back then. The fire was lit so bright that I couldn't stop. In the past I've tried to evolve more by moving on to creating a second website but none of those ideas felt right.

I've tried making different websites in the past and as time went on, I found myself not really resonating as much as I thought I would and I'd scrap the idea after 10 or so posts.

For me, I need to be in alignment with any new work that I get myself into. I know that I want to create another website as after years of working on the same one... I know that I'm ready for something new!

I've been trekking along and to be honest, I've been too comfortable. It's a nice problem to have, but it's time to scrap that idea.

The idea of being too comfortable with what I've created is getting deleted.

It's Time To Grind

Soon I am going to move forward with a new website idea and this time around I'm sticking with it. As should you! Stick to your idea for a long while, develop the skills and watch your work blossom.

I know that I should have stuck with my ideas in the past for a new website, but that time is over. From here on, when I'm in alignment with a new idea and executing it then I will finish it to the end. I will see it completed.

Take it from me. If you want to become an expert in affiliate marketing then you need to get that fire going. Your ideas are good! Stick to them, work hard and I'm sure that you'll see your ideal success.

Here's to many more years of the WA grind. I'm excited for the changes coming to the platform and what it means for all of us here! The future is bright. :)

Cheers! :)

Note: For some reason H tags and inserting images isn't working for me on WA posts? Any ideas why?

I too was thinking about you the other day as you were one of the first success stories I read about when joining WA -- but I never saw you active here within the community.

I always wondered how your site was doing, what your life was like, and if you still enjoyed affiliate marketing.

I'm glad to see that everything is still going great for you, and that you are looking to expand your business into new and exciting things. :)

I wish you all the success as you move forward. :)

Great to hear from you Colton. I wish you continued success!

Wow, it's been a long time, but glad to see you back! I have no doubt that wherever you feel pulled to, you'll be successful at it!

Welcome back man! Yeah I've heard about you and read your old post too! One of my ispirational helpes to light my fire on this dream! Hope to be as successeful.Good to see you back! And thanks again for all the inspiration man :-)

Hi Colton, it's good to see you back here, I am curious about your website, the latest address I had is not active. For the H-tags, I have seen that the ones right under an image are vanishing after publishing. I go back to edit, give it a hard enter, add it again, and then they stay.

You were an inspiration to many.

Hope all is well with your previous site. Curious to know how it developed, did it get to a plateau, or saturation, or it kept growing. This would help to put the things in perspective and have some idea of what can happen.

I still work on it! It's generating enough to where it's still providing enough for me. Saturation indeed happened, especially after all of the success posts I shared. Many people hopped into the same niche, hence why I decided to go silent and work.

Everything is going great! I'm excited to grow more since as I said above, I've been too comfortable for too long. Time to kick things up again.

Wow, I've only heard about you since I've signed up here but have never seen you active here and this is the first time.

What happened to your post about $10K in 3 months or something really short? What happened to that site that was making tons of money for you?

Yeah I stopped making posts and chatting really, it became a distraction at the time.

I still have that site, it's still what I'm doing! I removed those posts because I was getting flurried with messages and to be honest, I saw that many people made similar websites which has led to a crazy amount of competition. Figured it'd be best to not share things like that anymore, hope everyone understands.

Good to hear you're alive and kicking. :)

And that your site is still doing well, that's great. I hear you about getting PMs, I usually do get them too when I post something about hitting milestones.

Hi Colton,
It's funny but I was just thinking of you today.
Thanks for touching base with us here, your journey and work ethic has been an inspiration to many.

Forrest! Yeah it has been a good while since I've shared something here but I've been going! Good to hear from ya!

Good to hear from you too, keep in touch

Glad to see you checking in Colton.

I have a feeling you'll be a success at whatever new direction your next site takes you.

Oh, and no idea for you on the H tags and images issue. I haven't posted a blog here since they updated the blogging platform a short while ago.

Yeah it has been a good while since I've been active either chatting or blogging here. It's most likely a problem on my end with my browser. Thanks for the encouragement!

Completely understandable. Your site seemed to get a good bit of user feedback and questions from your readers to keep you busy. Naturally, that is where your priorities belong.

Glad to here from you Colton. The new idea must be a passion or you will not follow through.
I know you will do well if you put the same effort into the new site as you did the other one.
John

For sure, it's something I can see myself diving into and learning more about so why not go for it? Hope all has been well man!

Lots of health issues last year lead to not working on my site. Almost no traffic in Dec. This year has been a lot better, getting traffic back and making a few bucks again. You can revive a dead site with a little work. Hope you the best this year, stay in touch with us at WA.
John
