What are you saying about your ability to succeed?

Do you realize that you can kill your dreams with your words and never see them come topass? Think about it. I think we have all spoken negatively about our abilities at some point in our lives. But being part of Wealthy Affiliate and wanting success in the online business world is a good time to check your words. Words are powerful and will either build us up or tear us down. Which one of those are your words doing?

We’re in acommunity filled with great training and experts who willingly share their knowledge. We can ask for help and get questions answered, but if we work hard on our businesses while tearing ourselves or our businesses down with our words, there’s a problem! Saying things like, I’ll never be able to do this, or I can’t even imagine succeeding at this, or this is too hard, or I’ll never make any money doing this, are words that set us up to fail. Maybe we’ve tried things before and have had bad experiences, so the expectation becomes only to “try” this next shiny object and see what happens. No! We have to change our thinking so our expectations align with the success we really want.

Having helped business owners over the years, I’ve watched people kill their dreams with their words and actions. It wasn’t long before their negative words and attitudes led to a halfway effort to succeed. By repeating that process daily, it didn’t take long for their businesses to shrivel up and die.

I’m determined to succeed with my online businesses and I'm choosing carefully the words I speak. Am I perfect? Not even close. I simply believe that we can always improve on the words we speak. We will all encounter obstacles as we learn. That's life. We just have to keep the mindset that we can work through them.

I value the courses, the members who have shared their knowledge to help me, the live training events, the blogs, and all that I have the opportunity to learn around here. The experts here are teaching us to fish, so we can rinse and repeat to have lifelong success. There’s no other place online that helps to that extent in building online businesses. I know. So starting today, take time to check your words. Keep it top of mind. Only you know what you need to do to change your direction to achieve success. Two suggestions from highly successful business leaders have been to

1) write down your list of important things to accomplish the next day right before you go to bed, and

2) write or speak aloud the affirmations about your success and life before going to bed.

Why? Our bodies respond to the words we speak,so our minds will work on these lists and affirmations while we sleep. When we wake up, we’ll have answers, solutions, and ideas, plus we’ll accomplish more that day.
