Community - A building block to success!

You may be familiar with the organisation Toastmasters, which is a worldwide public speaking forum consisting of many clubs dotted around cities and the globe. I am a member of my local club in South London and in fact I am the vice president for education. The role involves my being responsible for scheduling meetings, and helping our members meet their personal development goals. The role like many other roles within toastmasters, is all about service.and the more you give the better service you can provide.
At the beginning of my term as VPE I found it difficult because of the focus on helping others, and having to actually leave my own personal developments to one side. However I have found that this particular role is so enriched with opportunities for personal development, and until I realise that, my contribution to the community was in my opinion lacking. However I'm really glad to say that having understood the role of leadership and the need to serve others, and to help others achieve their goals as public speakers, I have grown as a leader and someone who is able to contribute enthusiastically to the success of my members. And I really love it!
And that's why I'm writing this post. Really to say that as we partake in the wealthy affiliate community, and help others and be helped by others, we will find the success that we are all looking for. Although I've been a member of wealthy affiliate for over 4 years, I I'm making a goal to myself to be more involved in the wealthy affiliate community, and to set that goal of being an ambassador within the platform.
Being a toastmaster VPE is actually hard work, but very enjoyable. This is similar to why I joined WA. The work is focused and challenging, but the community is here for support and to be supported.
My goal is to do just that. To support the community as best I can, and to learn the skills required to be a successful online business owner.
