The quest for freedom
I am sat on a sunny balcony on the island of Patmos in Greece, with a cold beer whilst my wife showers. This place is so inspirational for someone looking to create an online business. Today we hiked 12km to a tiny town, typical Greek white buildings, quant churches and of course a stunning beach with a taverna.
I was sat reading through a couple of lessons on WA and trying to think of my brand and the market to promote WA to. The answer came quit simply; to people who want this. To travel the world with just their laptop. The endless summer dream springs to mind, but as a surfer and skier it is very much following the seasons. Those people who want to turn a simple travel blog into an income. The key word that jumped out at me was 'Freedom', not to be caped under the corporate umbrella. Work when you want for as many hours you want, and in the end you get out what you put in.
I work in a job where no matter if I work 40hrs a week or 60hrs a week the pay is the same. There is only promotion for those who put in the graft with the boss. Unfortunately that's not me, why should I not be rewarded for my results and hard work rather than laughing hysterically at a joke that is not funny?
The quest for freedom begins, a hard, long road awaits, but in my opinion if you have the motivation then a positive outcome is inevitable.

Sounds great! I need to get to Greece.
I was thinking today about how long people can realistically see into the future but for it to also be a genuine goal. I decided 2 years is about right. Maybe you could think of that as a marketing message in your context, "this could be you in 2 years time." Escape the rat race in 2 years.
Just a thought. :)
#Truth right here,
Beautiful post my friend. I try to share with my friends the experiences I've had with this beautiful place and they look at me like I'm crazy.
All too often people are groomed for the 9-5 instead of trying to catch a glimpse outside of the 'Box'.
Lifes to short to be bred into making someone else all the profits. We are single marketers and promoters eliminating the overhead, bringing simplicity and brand placement to everyone with minimal cost.
If the world just worked the way we see it should, I think everyone would be better off for it.
All the best to you my friend!
